Project and it's outreach to kids living on the
streets of Mozambique - many of the kids the same age as her
own.
She felt moved to do something.
So, she prayed about it and got the idea for a bake sale. She talked to other people to get them involved. "Desserts by Gerrard" donated some fancy delicacies and some other ladies from her church got together to donate some goodies as well! Yum!
"I knew that there just had to be a way that I could help. I prayed about it and prayed about it. Then this idea just popped in my brain. It was simple. It was productive. It was the right thing to do.
I
totally believe in the Love Maputo Project. My husband has
been to different places in Africa. Hearing about this
project in Maputo - my heart was struck. I have a heart for
Africa and this was one easy thing I could do to help.

This story is just a simple way that one mom used her time, resources and talent to get involved with a needed outreach. What's something that you could do. Have you taken the time to pray for those in need around you and across the world? Rather than complain about what you can't do, focus on what God's already given you to work with. Start there. Prove yourself faithful to use what you've been given and then trust God with the next step.
