What kind
of arts & crafts do you do? Are you in any craft clubs or do you
have any other friends that also enjoy crafts?
Whether it's making jewelry, making candles and soaps, key chains or sock toys, knitting mittins - we can work together to put on a craft show at your college.
You could raise money to help the kids being reached in Mozambique by either donating a portion of the proceeds or by charging a minimal table fee for the crafters involved.
Hold it in
an area with a lot of foot traffic, and make sure to get the
word out ahead of time -so you can get more people to come
and get more crafters to sell. Maybe consider getting
vendors (Avon, Mary Kay, etc..) to come too. We could
also design you up a really cool poster to help you
advertise.
Any video clips, pictures, quotes you
get we might be able to use in an activism story about you
and your group on JESUSpolitik.com. You never know who could
be touched by a story of what you did to get involved using their talents for God and these kids too.
Here's the story of a regular guy that used his craft to get involved with JESUSpolitik and the Love Maputo Project:
Do Something with YOUR Crafts.
Crafts can be a relaxing hobby - knitting scarves, beading jewelry, painting ceramics... it feels so good to create. Why not use the things you're already doing for God and to benefit His people?
It can help change a life, and also can help you get your craft out there and meet other people interested in similar things.
