Drama

Drama is such a great ministry! Are you in an acting troupe, drama club, or involved in the theater at your school or in your community? There are lots of cool things that you could do to use your talents in drama for God and to help the kids being reached by the Love Maputo Project.

Maybe you could get some folks together, the club you’re in, etc… and see about dedicating a show that you’re already doing to the kids of Love Maputo.  Before the curtains open you could talk about the need in Mozambique and what the Love Maputo Project is doing to help get kids out of prostitution, drug couriering and onto a new life in Jesus Christ. We could get you pamphlets to pass out with the show bills. The ticket sales from that night’s show could be donated to meet the needs of the kids being reached by the Love Maputo Project and we could definitely give you feedback on how funds were used specifically.

Or, perhaps you could take it a step further and organize an acted out interpretation of what these kids face on a daily basis – homelessness, hunger, police brutality, coercion into prostitution and drug couriering, hopelessness… and then the hope given by Jesus Christ through the hands of the workers of the Love Maputo Project. Again, ticket sales could be donated to meet needs and it may inspire viewers to use their talents to help get involved too.

You could try and get chapel credit for the event to lure in a larger audience.

Something to think about anyways. Any video clips, pictures, quotes you get we would may be able to use in an activism story about you and your group on here to get people inspired and fired up. You never know who could be touched by a story of what you did to get involved using their talents for God and these kids too.
