We
never underestimate the power of prayer. It’s
so needed.
Becoming a prayer group leader is a great way that you can get more involved with JESUSpolitik.
Maybe you could get together with a couple other friends that are dedicated to prayer and pray for us individually as well as all together once a month or so? We all need it, the directors here in the US, the project workers in Mozambique, the children being reached by the project, the people perpetrating human rights abuse abroad, the organizations we hope to collaborate with, the students that God is calling to get involved, the future workers that will be making a difference… there is always a very solid need for prayer.
Organizing a prayer chapel would also be
a powerful thing you can do. You could show the mini
documentary (if
you don’t have one, we can get you one. just
click here). Then divide up into groups and have people
pray together, for all the needs as well as for how they can
get involved. We can then also give you some sort of token
that people can have to take with them to remind them to
pray for the kids. Offering chapel credit is a good idea
too.
Another idea is to put on a prayer breakfast. It's simple, just once a month get together with a few friends at your lunch hall and pray together for JESUSpolitik and the people reached by our international projects before eating your breakfast. Be intentional about it.
What about a prayer retreat or a hike-a-thon where people are encouraged to pray as they walk through the woods? You can read about planning one here.
Let us know if you’re interested and, together, we can touch some lives.
