Are you great at finding deals at thrift stores and discovering treasures at yard sales? This may be the activism idea for you!
Some
people don't view shopping for bargains as exactly being a
talent, but we believe that it is! Not only that, but it's a
talent that can be used to help people!
Over the summer, we had people donate some items for us to sell on eBay. They wanted to give, but didn't have any money to spare - so they gave what they had. It turned out to be a great way to raise funds!
What about you? Why not sell your textbooks, jewelry, obscure findings, etc... on eBay and donate all the money raised or a percentage of the money raised to JESUSpolitik?
There are so many hidden gems in thrift stores, if you just open your eyes! Wedding dresses, prom dresses, paintings, vases, anything unusual looking - you could probably sell all of these with a minimum initial investment! Be sure to reimburse yourself for time and money spent out of the money you raise.
Also, don't forget to mention that money raised will to help JESUSpolitik in your eBay listing, with a link back to our site. You can also embed one of our banners in the listing for a nice visual effect (these can be found on the "Do Something" page).
Let us know about it, we may turn your story into an Activism Story to inspire more people to use their talents creatively to get involved!
